Last holiday weekend, my brother in law (who also loves to test drive cars) suggested I drive 6 cars and get $265 in gift cards. I thought, “I get to drive cars, I get gift cards, and its a great story idea” (well, I guess you the reader will be the judge of that). What is the downside? Well, dealers calling me for the next month and asking if I want to buy the car I drove
It’s been a bit of time since my last FUD article. When I wrote it, on March 11, a share of TSLA stock was worth $290.92 at close. Yesterday, Tesla closed at $210.34, or 72.3% of the value of my last article. I guess the good news if you are a shareholder is that it is up from June 3rd (when it closed at $178.97) by over 17%, which I suppose is great if you bought the stock at that exact moment
Tesla just completed its annual shareholder meeting. Like in meetings past, it was fairly long and covered almost every Tesla topic under the sun. To make it easier for people who couldn’t watch, wouldn’t watch, or simply want to go back to some of the topics in the meeting, below is a timestamped summary from Paul, who kindly stayed up late in Florida (just not as late as me here in Poland) to put this together for the world
Tesla CEO Elon Musk went on the Ride The Lightning podcast with Tesla enthusiast and IGN Executive Editor Ryan McCaffrey for an hour-long interview. Topics ranged from the Tesla Pickup Truck to the Model Y and even delved into the possibility of a Tesla App store in the future. In his talk with McCaffrey, Musk unpacked the top priorities for Tesla over the next few months
The Tesla community was excited when they heard that Ryan McCaffrey had scored an interview with Elon Musk for his 200th episode of the “Ride The Lightning” podcast, and he did not disappoint!
The trading week of May 20–24 was not kind to Tesla. The stock dropped more than 20 points, which translates into a loss of some $3.5 billion in market capitalization. The primary reason for the plunge was investor reactions to a full-court press of negative comments from analysts and the media
Elon Musk is exhorting his people to work hard during the last few weeks of Q2. If they do, the CEO says Tesla could set a new delivery record and prove there is still substantial demand for its electric cars.
Tesla is offering 5,000 free miles of Supercharging if you order by May 27. You have to use the miles within 6 months, but that could save you about about $450 if you drive a lot, less if you drive less. You should also get your car by June 30, 2019 — so, if you are in the US, you should be eligible for the $3,750 tax credit
If you were following Tesla in the early days of the Model S, and more so if you were an early Model S owner, you probably know or know of Jerome Guillen. He led development of the Tesla Model S (program director) and was also VP of Worldwide Sales and Service for 2½ years. He was absolutely loved by owners. If you frequented Tesla forums in the pre–Model X days, you might have even seen more love for Jerome than for Elon (Musk). People loved him
