Let’s work together to battle climate change
Earth is changing rapidly every day. Wonderful changes and awful changes happen daily, such as babies being born, new cars are made and countless other changes around us constantly.
However, bad change comes with consequences. For example, climate change is one of them and it is the worst enemy of mankind, animals and for our planet. Many animals have been endangered and some of our states are flooding due to catastrophic consequences of climate change. The lives of our future generation can be at risk as a result of climate change.
So, what are the signs of climate change and how is it negatively impacting our earth? Climate change’s meaning is the rising of earth’s temperature caused by the greenhouse effect, which is when the sun is trapped into the lower atmosphere.
Some of the reasons that cause global warming are excessively generating power, by way of transportation, over consumption through deforestation. Adverse impacts of global warming include hotter temperatures, loss of food, increased health risks, severe storms and many more. There is a possibility that so many places, including New York, are at risk of going underwater due to flooding, which is a result of global warming. This can be catastrophic to many people who will lose their homes.
Climate change is not only an enemy to mankind, but global warming is also an enemy to many endangered species. According to Worldwildlife.org, polar bears, slow leopards, giant pandas, tiger, monarch butterfly, green sea turtles and many more animals are in vulnerable condition due to global warming. This is troubling because when one group gets extinct, it threatens the survival of other animal species who depend on the prior for food.
We should work together to find a solution. There are many ways we can stop climate change from getting worse. You can help by fixing some of the activities we do on a daily basis, for example, when you leave your room, you can shut off your light. This contributes to reducing global warming because most of our electricity comes from coal and powerhouses. This helps limit our usage of power, which consequently saves energy.
We could also adopt alternative ways of transportation, for example, if you are going to a party with someone you can carpool to the party or designated area. This helps limit the intake of gas in the atmosphere. There are many ways you can help solve and contribute to minimizing global warming. Let’s work and end this together for a better life for our next generation.
