Wiley and the Alliance of Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science Societies announce new publishing partnership

HOBOKEN, N.J.–July 30, 2019–John Wiley and Sons Inc.(NYSE: JW-A) (NYSE: JW-B) is delighted to announce a new publishing partnership with Alliance of Crop, Soil and Environmental Science Societies (ACSESS). ACSESS has selected Wiley to publish its esteemed journals, magazines, and books program on behalf of its three member societies: American Society of Agronomy (ASA), Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), and Soil Science Society of America (SSSA).

The ASA, CSSA, and SSSA represent more than 9,000 individual members and 40 corporate members around the world. They have also developed long-standing collaborative partnerships with more than 70 societies in the agronomy, crops, soils and environmental sciences fields. Together, the ASA, CSSA, and SSSA own 13 journals, 2 magazines, and a books program, which will be published by Wiley beginning January 2020. The titles will be hosted on Wiley Online Library, including back file content.

Founded in 1907, the American Society of Agronomy (ASA) was created with the primary goal of enhancing conservation and promoting the wise use of natural resources for the production of food, feed, and fiber crops, while maintaining or improving the environment.

The Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) was established in 1936 to increase awareness, outreach, and education about soil science, with research interests focusing on soil chemistry, physics, microbiology, fertility, morphology, classification, and mineralogy.

Formed in 1955, the Crop Science Society of America (CSSA) is dedicated to the promotion of public welfare through the advancement of research, extension, and teaching of the crop sciences, along with improvement, culture, management, and utilization of field crops.
